How to export your watch hours to Dreaming Spanish
The problem
You track your Spanish immersion across Netflix, YouTube, and Prime Video with Tracking Languages. You also use Dreaming Spanish to hit your hour milestones. But DS only knows about hours watched on its own platform.
Until now, you had to manually log your external hours on the DS progress page. Open the form, type the minutes, add a description. Every time.
One-click export
Tracking Languages now exports directly to Dreaming Spanish. Open your profile, pick a time frame — today, last 7 days, last 30 days, or all time — and hit export.
The extension opens your DS progress page, clicks "Add hours outside the platform," and fills in the minutes and description automatically. You just review and click Save.
How it works
1. Open the Tracking Languages side panel 2. Go to your Profile tab 3. Find Export to Dreaming Spanish below "Export data (CSV)" 4. Pick a time frame 5. Click export — your DS progress page opens with the form pre-filled 6. Click Save on the DS page
That's it. Your external hours are now counted toward your DS milestones.
Time frames
You choose exactly what to export:
- •Today — just today's session
- •7 days — this week's immersion
- •30 days — this month
- •Since last export — only new hours since your last sync
- •All time — everything you've ever tracked
After your first export, it defaults to "Since last export" so you only send new hours each time.
Also works with Dreaming French
If you're learning French, the same feature works with Dreaming French. The extension detects which language you're tracking and shows the right export option.
Why this matters
Dreaming Spanish milestones (150 hours, 300 hours, 600 hours) are motivating. But if half your immersion happens on Netflix and YouTube, your DS counter is always behind. Now it isn't.
